Trainers - Day 1

Driving home from the guard show last night, I had a phone call from my trainer, Jason,  I was confused, I thought my trainer was going to be a girl, named Becky.  But Jason told me that the team was meeting at 5:30 in the morning, so I headed to the gym first thing in the morning like I always do.  I did a quick 25 minutes on the ellipitical, then headed to the Fitness Center Lobby to start watching for Jason.  I didn't see anyone, so finally asked the lady at the counter, a couple of women over heard me and asked if I was Holly.  They were on my team, and watching for the rest of the group that they met last  night.

We have two trainers, Becky and Jason.  We have 6 team members, Ann, Anne, Jessica, Eric, and myself, the other woman wasn't at the Kick Off meeting and didn't show up this morning.

We headed downstairs for a work out in the weight room.  I had to be at the High School at 6:00 to fold the guard floor that we painted last night, so I only stayed for about 20 minutes.  Ann, Anne and I weigh within one pound of each other, so that will be a good contest among the three of us.  For the first two weeks of the contest we are going to meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  That sould give all of us a good base to learn some things we can do for the days we don't have the trainers with us.  Our normal day with the trainers will be Wednesday at 5:30.

Happy Valentines Day

Not exactly feeling the love with the scale this morning.  I really need to get better about the weekends.  It is so frustrating to do good all week, then blow it on the weekend.

I must do better, I must do better, I must do better.

I did have some good news today, the BIGGEST LOSER program is back on they are going to do the KICK OFF on Thursday.  Bad day for me, I already have something going that day, Rachael's has a guard show that night.

DOWN AGAIN

Well I am writing down what I am eating, I am making a salad for lunch and look at that, the weight drops.  Deep down I know what I need to do to lose weight, but some times I wish it was easier.

When I write things down, and look up how many calories are in things, I eat better.  I am aware of how long it takes to work off 250 calories that are in a candy bar and can really think about if it is worth it.  Do I really want to eat that candy bar, knowing that it will be 30 minutes on the ellipitical to work it off.

I want to keep that scale on a down ward trend.

Frustration!!!!!

I don't get it, I am getting to the gym 5 days a week and I am there for 45 minutes every morning.  Some evenings I have gone back for 30 to 45 minutes, and the weight has gone back up.

I guess that I need to consider keeping track of what I am eating, there is always more to losing weight, than just doing some exercise.

Good News/Bad News

What do you want the Good News first or the Bad News?

Ok - Good News first - My application for the Biggest Loser program got accepted.  I am so excited!

Now the Bad News - they haven't received enough application for the program, so they are putting it on hold until they have enough people.

My excitement quickly turned to a bit of disappointment.  I was ready to get going with the extra help of teammates, and a trainer.  But it will happen and until it does, I can get my self up and get to the gym and continue the process that I have been working on.

Up 1 pound, down 1 pound, up 1 pound, down 1 pound.  Why isn't the weight just going down?

HELLO February

The first month of 2012 is gone already.   Time seems to be going so fast.  The good news is that when I look back over the last few weeks, I am down 7 pounds.  I started my weight loss plan 3 1/2 weeks ago and have lost 7 pounds.  That makes me happy.  Putting weight on seems to happen so easily, but losing it takes time and patience, it is hard work.  Making sure that I get to the gym every day can be a challenge, but I am up for the challenge.  I will succeed!
